Things Remembered

A Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats was one of those books I kept on my miniature bookshelf in the garage and would always pick up to read from time to time. I was truly touched by this book as a child and enamored with the illustration. This accomplished author and illustrator introduced the character Peter to families with the use of bright bold colors and urban settings. He showed children the beauty of multiculturalism in the simplest shapes and forms. I hope to share this wonderful story with other children one day and surely my own.

Health Reform Billboard Campaign

I'm currently taking an Advertising Design class and this was the first project. The objective was to pick a health issue that affects a certain demographic and translate that topic into a billboard campaign series. I selected Health Reform, as you can see. The demographic was 19-29 year old African Americans who make up a large majority of uninsured Americans.

We in the How How House

Back home in Virginia, I do freelance for a company called Universal Signs, Print and Ship Center. This was DS Flyer for Club Ibiza located in downtown Norfolk, Va. I also did a smaller condensed version for the promotional BC.

I watched Jay-Z's "Roc Boys" & "I Know" over and over for a little inspiration. Music definitely helps me get my creative juices flowing. How about you?
